I graduated in Biological Sciences from Universidade Federal de São Carlos, Brazil (2001), received my phD in Biotechnology from Universidade de São Paulo, Brazil (2007) and Pos-doctorate at Lund university, Sewden (2018). I have experience in molecular biology and immunology, and my research foccuses on the development of novel vaccine strategies against human pathogens and investigation of host-pathogen interactions, particularly innate immunity responses. One year after my PhD, I joined University São Francisco as a professor/researcher. Since then, I have mentored 3 PhD students, 7 master students and several undergrad students. I teach immunology, microbiology and genetics to undergrad students in health sciences courses. I coordinated the Post graduation Program in Health Sciences between 2014-2016, and I was nominated president of the ethics commitee in animal research during that period. I was also a member of the ethics comittee in human research from 2011 to 2019. My recent research interests are bacterial defence mecanhisms against antimicrobial peptides and complement system molecules. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
