Regina Lúcia Batista da Costa de Oliveira

Regina Costa de Oliveira graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences at Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 1975; she also obtained a Master´s degree in Biological Sciences at Universidade Estadual do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) in 1980 and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in 1989. Part of her Ph.D. work had been developed at the Institute Gustave Roussy (CNRS, France), where she also worked as a postdoctoral fellow from 1992 to 1994. She returned to the Universidade de São Paulo in 1994, working as a Visiting Researcher until 1997, when she moved to the Universidade de Mogi das Cruzes (UMC). Working as a Full Professor at UMC, she has developed a series of academic duties, which include teaching (at both undergraduate and graduate levels), advising graduate students (at both M.S. and Ph.D. levels) and coordinating/participating in Research Projects. She has also acted on several administrative duties, which include coordinating the University´s undergraduate program in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2005 to 2008) and the Graduate Program in Biotechnology (since 2004). During her academic career, she has published a total of 33 research manuscripts in peer reviewed journals and two book chapters. Her primary area of research deals with Structural and Functional Genomics of Microorganisms. Since 2013, she has been working at Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP) as Scientific Manager at São Paulo State Research Foundation (FAPESP) (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
