Graduated in Biological Sciences at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (1999), Master (2002) and Doctorate (2006) in Sciences at the Federal University of São Paulo and Post-Doctorate in Genetics at the Medical Research Council - Human Genetics Unit (University of Edinburgh -2007/2008). Associate Professor at the Paulista School of Medicine at the Federal University of São Paulo. Has experience in the field of Epigenetics and Developmental Disorders, acting mainly on the following themes: germ cell development, paternal epigenetic inheritance and sncRNA. Has been dedicated to the study of the epigenetic inheritance of psychiatric disorders in humans and animal models and to the study of retrotransposons in this inheritance. Also works in the development of strategies for Higher Education improvement, being the creator and organizer of the Humana Educação Project. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
