Professor Targon Campana got her PhD in Science, from the University of São Paulo (2002) with emphasis on Applied Physics. She was advisor to the Coordination of the Instituto de Estudos Brasil Europa - IBE from 2012 to 2014, gave more than 20 lectures at National and International Institutions, 15 oral presentations at scientific events (and more than 50 posters), has 25 works dedicated to the public in general (among articles in general media and press releases). She participated in more than 30 jury boards (in Brazil and abroad), and currently has more than 450 citations in the international literature. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities at the University of São Paulo and coordinates the Biomaterials and Spectroscopy Group, which foccus on projects involving the development of biomaterials and conformational studies of polymers and biopolymers by electronic and vibrational spectroscopies. She is the Coordinator of the Brazilian part of the Cooperation Agreement between the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities at USP and the Universite de Pau et des Pays de l?ADOUR (France). She is Observer for the Subcommittee on Polymer Terminology and Member of the Subcommittee on Polymer Education, both at IUPAC. She also studies mechanisms and processes of public scientific communication and the development of effective tools for intentional public communication.
