Ana Gonçalves Magalhães

Art historian, professor, curator and director at the Museum of Contemporary Art of the University of São Paulo (MAC USP). Member of the Brazilian Committee for Art History (CBHA) since 2000. She was editorial coordinator at Fundação Bienal de São Paulo between 2001 and 2008. She is graduated in History at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 1992), and took her MA in History of Art and Culture at the same institution (1995). She then did her PhD in History and Criticism of Art at the University of São Paulo (USP, 2000), and her habilitation at the same institution (USP, 2015). She is professor of the Graduate Programmes in Aesthetics & Art History, and in Museology, both at the University of São Paulo. She's a ad hoc referee of FAPESP, CAPES and CNPq. She was Guest Professor at the Università degli Studi di Milano (2011), Universté Paris 8 - Saint Denis (2014), Guest Scholar at the Getty Research Institute (2016), and is now Guest Professor of the MA Programme of the Institute of Art History of the University of Vienna.
