Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (87). Master in Anatomy from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1991) and PhD in Pathology from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1997). Visiting researcher at the University of St. Andrews, Scottish Oceans Institute (SOI), Scotland, UK in 2011, establishing scientific collaboration with the researchers Dr. Ian A. Johnston and Dr. Daniel Garcia de la Serrana (CAPES/PGCI Program) and FAPESP. She is currently a Full Professor in Histology at the Institute of Biosciences, Botucatu, State University of São Paulo. Coordinator of the Graduate Program in General and Applied Biology, IBB, UNESP. Has experience in Morphology, with emphasis on Histology, mainly on the following subjects: Morology, Muscle and Skeletal Biology, Mus Growth in Mammals and Fish and Molecular Biology.
