Electrical Engineer graduated by Faculty of Engineering of Ilha Solteira, São Paulo State University (1981), Master and PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing at the State University of Campinas (1987, 1995). He is currently a full professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering of Ilha Solteira - UNESP. He is interested in and develops researches in the areas of Planning and Control of Electric Energy Systems, working mainly on the following topics: Development of mathematical models and application of metaheuristic techniques and classical optimization in problems of planning and control of systems of generation, transmission and distribution of electric power, reliability and quality of the power supply of electric power distribution systems.
