Graduation in Chemical Engineering at Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro (1981); M.Sc.(1988) and Doctor (1997) in Food Science at Universidade Estadual de Campinas. Experience in Food Science and Technology, focusing on the following subjects: 1) Development and validation of analytical method to determine additives, monomers and oligomers from plastic packaging in contact with food; 2) Migration studies of compounds from plastic packaging into the food/simulant; 3) Evaluation of physicochemical characteristics, vitamin C, antioxidants, sensory analysis of pulps, juices and fruit based beverages (acerola, cashew, guava, orange, passion fruit) cultivated by organic and conventional systems; 4) Shelf life and antioxidant activity of pulps, juices and fruit based beverages cultivated by organic and conventional systems; 5) Volatile compounds from fruits, pulps, juices and fruit based beverages, and their impact in the flavor quality; (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
