Agronomist Engineer, formed in December 1973. Beginning in the Instituto de Pesca December 10th, 1973 until now. Staged at NOAA-NMFS, Northeast Fisheries Center, Woods Hole, Massachusetts, USA, CODOT/ USAID Program, from July 1975 to January l976; over-fishing biology of pelagic fish, with emphasis on clupeids. Worked with age and growth, statistics, breeding and feeding habits. He staged at the Instituto Oceanografico-IO, Universidade de Sao Paulo-USP, under Anna Emilia Vazzoler Ph.D., March-June 1976. He staged under Yasonobu Matsuura Ph.D, IO, USP, from February to September 1977. He staged at the Instituto Español de Oceanografia, at La Coruña Laboratory, in December 1977, and at Málaga Laboratory, from January to April 1978. With spanish researchers analyzed the swordfish fishery caught by Brazil and Spain. Publishing the article Comparison on swordfish, fishery-biology based on Brazilian and Spanish longliners. Staged at NOAA-NMFS, Southeast Fisheries Center, Miami Laboratory, Florida, USA, June-July 1981, on analysis of billfish yield, growth studies since larval forms. Ph.D. in Zoology, from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho-UNESP, Instituto de Biociencia, Rio Claro, in 1992. UNESP special professor of "Campus of Rio Claro. Given class of fishery biology of cartilaginous fish discipline, from 1995 to 2008. Professor of Master degree from Instituto de Pesca-IP 2005 to December 2020. Has undergraduate students PIBIC/ CNPq, CAPES master, and postdoctoral FAPESP. Scientist Research since 1975, reaching PQC level VI in November 1998 (the last level). Director, of Centro de Avançado de Pesquisa Tecnológica do Agronegócio do Pescado Marinho, Instituto de Pesca, Santos, São Paulo, from October 1999 to May 2000. Member of the Scientific Subcommittee of the Permanent Consultative Committee of Tunas and Relate, Management since its inception to date. Coordinated Grupo de Pesca e Pesquisa de Tubarões e Raias no Brasil, from 1985 to 1995. Secretary (1995-2000) and President (2004-2006) of the Sociedade Brasileira para o Estudo dos Elasmobranquios-SBEEL. Marlim Project Coordinator, along with the yacht clubs of the Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo, from 1992 to present date. Coordinates Campaign Environmental Preservation of Billfish, created in 2010 by ICRJ. Vivamar Advisor since 2004. He has experience in Fisheries Resources and Fishing Engineering, with an emphasis on Marine Fishery Resources, acting on the following subjects: biology-fishing of pelagic fish (tuna, sailfish, marlins, swordfish and sharks) and its conservation.
