Antonio Carlos Bannwart holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (1977), a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (1984) and a PhD in Mechanics from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (1988). He completed a postdoctoral internship at the University of Minnesota (1995-1996) with financial support from FAPESP. He was a Full Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the State University of Campinas, of which he was director (2014-2018). He is currently a Visiting Researcher at the Center for Energy and Petroleum Studies (CEPETRO) at the State University of Campinas. He has extensive experience in teaching and applied research in Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Transport Phenomena, working mainly in the following areas: submersible centrifugal pumping, flow assurance and multiphase flow of viscous oils.
