Graduated in Biomedicine at University of Santo Amaro (2001). She completed a Direct Doctorate (2006) and Post-Doctorate (2007) at the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at University of São Paulo. The research developed in this period, addressed the role of the Renin-Angiotensin System in the development of cardiac hypertrophy promoted by the thyroid hormone, as well as the actions of these hormones in the global modulation of gene expression. She is an Associate Professor at the Federal University of ABC developing a line of research on the impact of the inflammatory response and the immune system on cardiovascular changes observed in the context of Cardiorenal Syndrome. She has experience in the areas of cell biology, molecular biology, cardiovascular physiology, inflammation and renal failure. It has scientific projects funded by FAPESP and CNPq. Coordinates extension projects aimed at courses in ethics and research integrity for high school students from public schools. From 2012 to 2014 she was academic advisor to the UFABC Research Dean, becoming UFABC's Assistant Research Dean until early 2015. Between 2015 and 2018 she was Provost for research of UFABC.
