Maria Inês Ré

Maria Inês Ré studied Chemical Engineering at UFSCAR- São Paulo/Brazil, from where she also obtained her Master in Science in 1986. In 1986, she joined the Chemistry Division of IPT (Institute for Technological Researches São Paulo/Brazil) where she was focused on the application of particle engineering technologies, such as fluidized bed reactors and spray drying, in the development of chemical and food products with enhanced properties. She obtained her PhD (INPT/Toulouse-France) in engineering of chemical processes in 1993 and a post-doctorate in technology of solid particles in 1997 at the same French institution. Researcher at IPT since 1986, she was responsible for the creation of the area of encapsulation of active materials at this institute (1995) and the Laboratory of Particles Technology (1999) in the same institute (director in 1999-2005). Director of the Centre of Technology of Processes and Products at IPT (2006-2008). She joined the Centre Rapsodee at the Ecole des Mines d?Albi-Carmaux in France in February 2008. Since January 2011, she is the deputy director of the Centre Rapsodee. Her major research interests are the microencapsulation technologies with a special focus on spray drying. She has developed delivery systems from immediate release to controlled release, for water soluble to poorly soluble molecules. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
