Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering from Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (1987), master in Chemistry from Universidade de São Paulo (1993) and doctorate in Chemistry from Universidade de São Paulo (1997). Post-doctorate at Michigan State University (2002-2003) sponsored by CAPES, and is Full Professor at the Institute of Chemistry - UNESP, Araraquara. She has experience in Chemistry, focusing on Chemistry of Natural Products, and the following subjects: antioxidants, bioactivity, chemoprevention, bioprospection in Brazilian plant species from Cerrado, Atlantic Forest and Amazon, and endophytic fungi from marine algae; sustainable use of biodiversity; validation of bioassays. Permanent supervisor at the Pos-graduate program in Chemistry and Professional Master Program in Chemistry Education. Head of Department of Organic Chemistry (2007-2011) and Director of the Division of Natural Products of the Brazilian Chemical Society (QPN-SBQ, 2012-2014). She was also a member of the International Relations Office (UNESP), Central Chamber for Post-graduation (2013-2016) and Central chamber for Culture and Extension (2018-2020). She coordinated the Graduate Program in Chemistry at IQ/UNESP (2013-2016) and was Vice-dean of the Institute of Chemistry at UNESP/Araraquara (2016-2020). Coordinates the Institutional Commission of Rankings at UNESP, and participates as Researcher in the Metricas Project (University of Sao Paulo), at the UNESP Agenda 2030 - SDG - Committee and as advisor at the Pro-rectory of Postgraduate studies.
