Roselena Faez has a degree in Chemistry (1993, IQ-UNESP Araraquara) and a Ph.D. in Science (1999, IQ-UNICAMP) with a sandwich doctorate at the German Rubber Institute (DIK) in Hannover and a postdoctoral degree at the Materials Division of the Technological Center of Aeronautics (2001). She held a sabbatical internship at the University of California-Davis (UCDavis) (2016-2017). She is an associate professor at UFSCar- Araras and leader of the Research Group on Polymeric Materials and Biosorbents at CNPq (MPB). He has experience in the field of Materials, with an emphasis on conductive materials (polyaniline, polypyrrole, and polythiophene), composites (clay minerals and cellulosic fibers), rubber technology, and active-carrying materials with application in agriculture and the environment, working mainly on the following topics: preparation, characterization, and study of the structure-property relationship of polymeric systems. It carries out research emphasizing sustainability and thinking about optimizing the process of obtaining materials. She advises the permanent PPGs Agriculture and Environment staff at UFSCar-Araras and Engineering and Materials Science at USP-Pirassununga. She was director of the Materials Division of the Brazilian Chemical Society (2014-2016). She is a member of the Board of Directors of ABPol (2021-205).
