Graduated as MD at the Federal University of Pernambuco (1996) and obtained his PhD in Internal Medicine at the State University of Campinas (2003). He performed his pos-doctoral fellowship at Harvard Medical School/Brigham and Women´s Hospital (2014-2016). He is an Associate Professor of Cardiology at the State University of Campinas and has experience in Medicine, focusing on Cardiology, acting mainly on the following subjects: hypertension, cardiac remodeling and atherosclerosis. He has published several articles in Cardiology and Internal Medicine journals, and has been first and/or corresponding author of manuscripts published in New England Journal of Medicine, Circulation e European Heart Journal.
