I graduated in Biological Sciences in 1978 at the Universidade de São Paulo and got my Doctorate in 1988 at the same university. I am currently Curator of Mammals at the Museu de Zoologia of the University of São Paulo, and I am particularly interested in the systematics and evolution of mammals and how their evolutionary history relates to the evolving earth biomes, with emphasis on the South American continent. I advise students in projects dealing with mammalian systematics, biogeography and selected aspects of their natural history. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
