Completed the Postdoctoral at the Academic Unity of Psychiatry, University of Bristol (2008), PhD in Psychology - University of London (1996), Master's degree in Epidemiology - London School of Hygiene And Tropical Medicine (2006), Master degree in Social Psychology at the University of São Paulo (1990) and graduated in Psychology at the Catholic University of São Paulo (1984). Since 2009 holds the position of Scientific Researcher VI at the Hospital das Clinicas, Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo, Psychopathology Laboratory of Psychiatric Therapeutics (LIM-23 / IPq-FMUSP). Researcher Colaborator of the Faculty of Medicine - USP, Lecturer and Supervisor at the post-graduation course at the Faculty of Medicine, University of São Paulo, Department of Psychiatry. Visiting Scientist at the Lown Scholar Program, Department of Global Health and Population, T. H. Chan School of Public Health, Harvard University since 2017, and Visiting Researcher at the Global Mental Health Research Group, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neurosciences, King's College London, since 2018. Experience in psychiatric epidemiology, acting on the following topics: epidemiology of mental disorders in adults and elderly (dementia, depression, psychosis, and postpartum women), the health of the elderly and mental health in primary care. Has participated as a researcher and coordinator of national and international multicenter studies. Ad-hoc reviewer for Brazilian and international Research Agencies, Research Institutions and Scientific Journals.
