Abstract
The sugarcane borer, Diatraea saccharalis, is the main pest of sugarcane crops in Brazil. Due to most of its life cycle occurring inside the sugarcane stalk, efficient and low-cost sampling methods are unavailable, and insecticide control is inefficient.
