Postdoctoral studies in Molecular and Cellular Physiology at Stanford University, CA, USA (1999-2001) and in Exercise Physiology at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway (2009). Sabbatical leave and guest professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway (2012-2013). Currently is Full Professor at the Dept of Physiology and Biophysics- Biomedical Sciences Institute and at the School of Physical Education and Sport - University of Sao Paulo. Member of the Area Panel in Health Sciences at São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP). Member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. She has experience in Exercise Physiology with emphasis on cardiovascular adaptations to exercise training. Her research is focused on the following topics: a) effect of exercise training in heart failure and cancer with a focus on molecular mechanisms involved in controlling the function and remodeling of the heart muscle b) molecular mechanisms involved in skeletal myopathy of heart failure and cancer with emphasis on the control of skeletal and trophism effect of aerobic exercise training.
