Economist, Master in Education (in the areas of Philosophy and History) and PhD in Human Sciences (in the area of Social Sciences). She is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Environmental Sciences (DCAm) of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), where she teaches PPG in Environmental Sciences and vice-coordinator of the Nucleus of Studies and Social Research in Disasters (NEPED). She was a contributing professor (in Environmental Economics and in Sociology of Disasters) of the Environmental Engineering of EESC / USP, where she worked for 20 years (1996-2016). The current effort in scientific research, postgraduate education and academic orientation (masters and doctorates) is oriented toward the adoption of a systemic and complex approach on contemporary socio-environmental issues geared to the territory & water binomial, such as: , Implementation and identification of contradictions between public policies of access and use of natural resources; Multidimensional aspects of disasters, crisis management practices and adaptation practices; Media presence and interpretation of disasters; To educational tools for social inclusion in the process of planning and discussing socio-environmental conflicts.
