Full professor (2006), graduated as Agricultural Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo (1971), M.Sc. (1974) and Ph.D. (1978) in Agronomy from Universidade de São Paulo. Her work focuses mainly on molecular microbial ecology and plant-microbial interactions, with the following topics: bioindicators for monitoring microbial communities under land use changes, next generation sequencing, climate changes and greenhouse gas exchanges under tropical environments. Recipient of the prizes Medal for Scientific and Technological Merit (2000), Scopus 2008 and the Agribusiness Prize 2015. Elected as member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences in 2008 and of the TWAS-The World Academy of Sciences in 2018. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
