Graduated in Pharmacy-Biochemistry from the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (1999-2003), Master's (2003-2005) and Ph. Professor (2016) in Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo. Sabbatical (Visiting Professor) at Harvard Medical School, Department of Immunology as part of the CAPES/Harvard Young Visiting Professor program. He was an Affiliate member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences. He has been awarded national and international scientific awards, including the prestigious 2020 Patrick D. Wall Young Investigator Award for Basic Science from the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP). He is currently an Full Professor of Pharmacology at FMRP-USP. Academic editor of international journals such as Communications Biology, Brain Research, Frontiers in Pharmacology and Inflammation Research. Has experience in Pharmacology, with emphasis on Pharmacology of Inflammation and Pain, working mainly on the following topics: Neurobiology of inflammatory and neuropathic pain and Molecular mechanisms involved in the effects of analgesics.
