Manoel Antônio dos Santos is a Professor at the University of São Paulo (USP), where he has held, since 1987, the position of Professor of the Psychology Department of the Faculdade de Filosofia, Ciências e Letras de Ribeirão Preto (FFCLRP-USP). In 2021 and 2022 he was ranked 1st in impact among researchers in the Psychology area at USP, according to the AD Scientific Index 2022, Rankings for Scientist Latin America, which enumerates the most influential scientists in Latin America, deserving the title of Psychology Best Scientist in University of São Paulo, and occupying the 5th position in impact in the scenario of Brazilian Psychology researchers and the 6th position in Latin America. Permanent Professor of the Post-Graduation Program in Psychology, he has a degree in Psychology from the Psychology Institute of the University of São Paulo (1986), Master's Degree (1992) and PhD (1996) in Clinical Psychology from IPUSP. He was approved in a public contest to become a Full Professor at FFCLRP-USP (2011). He is a specialist in Family and Couple Therapy at the Instituto Familae (Ribeirão Preto, SP). Specialist in Clinical Psychology and Hospital Psychology (Federal Council of Psychology). Served as Head of the Department of Psychology (2015-2017), having held the positions of Deputy Head / Alternate Head (2013-2015) in previous administrations. President of the Research Committee of FFCLRP-USP (2016-2018), having been vice-president (in office as chair) in the previous administration. Full member of the Research Council of USP between 2016 and 2018. CNPq Productivity Fellow, level 1A. Full member of the Advisory Committee (CA) of CNPq, in the area of Psychology and Social Work (CA-PS, 2016-2018). Full member of the Four-Year Evaluation Committee of CAPES 2017. Member of the External Evaluation Commission of the Scientific Initiation scholarships PIBIC-CNPq (UFSC and UNIFRAN). Former member of the GT ANPEPP Psychology and Gender Relations. Coordinator of international agreements or partnerships with Université Paris-Diderot / Université Sorbonne Paris Cité (Paris 7 - USPC), having concluded a doctorate in co-tule, University of Alabama (USA), INSERM-Paris (France), University of Cambrigde (UK), Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience / Kings College London (UK), University of New Hampshire (USA). Leader of the group Laboratory of Teaching and Research in Health Psychology, registered in the CNPq Directory of Research Groups (CNPq-USP-FFCLRP-USP). Editor in Chief of Paidéia journal (Qualis-CAPES A1) since 2007, former Editor in Chief of SPAGESP's journal. He was Associate Editor of Revista Brasileira de Orientação Profissional, member of the Editorial Board of Estudos de Psicologia (Campinas) and SMAD - Revista Eletrônica Saúde Mental Álcool e Drogas. Member of the Consulting Council of Psico-USF. Member of the Scientific Committee of the International Journal of Psychological Research (2018- 2020). Member of the editorial board of the journal Estudos Interdisciplinares em Psicologia (UEL). Ad hoc consultant of international and national journals. Member of the Health and Gender group (CNPq-FMRP-USP). Coordinator of the Psychology Service of the Eating Disorders Assistance Group (GRATA) of the FMRP-USP Hospital. Coordinator of the Action and Research Group on Sexual and Gender Diversity - VIDEVERSO, of FFCLRP-USP. Former member of the Diabetes Education Group of EERP-USP and of the Palliative Care Group of HCFMRP-USP. He is a member of the Brazilian Society of Psychology (SBP), the Brazilian Society of Psycho-Oncology and the Brazilian Association of Psychotherapy (ABP).
