Graduated in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1991), with a residency in Internal Medicine (1992) and Cardiology (1993-94) from the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. Former Fellow of the Laboratory of Cardiovascular Science, National Institutes of Health (USA) (1997-1999), PhD in Cardiology from the University of São Paulo (2003) and Full Professor at the Department of Cardiopneumology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo São Paulo (2020). He is currently the Coordinator of Clinical Cardiology Integrated to Intervention at the Interventional Cardiology Department and Coordinator of the Center for Studies and Research in Refractory Angina (NEPAR), Instituto do Coração of the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo and Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo. He has experience in Medicine, with emphasis on Cardiology, working mainly on the following topics: coronary artery disease, myocardial ischemia, refractory angina, angiogenesis, gene therapy, cell therapy and cardiovascular disease in patients with chronic kidney disease.
