Carlos received the PhD degree in Computer Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2014), the MSc degree in Computer Science from Universidade Federal de Penambuco (2011) and the BSc degree in Computer Science from Universidade Católica de Pernambuco. The projects developed by him while a Scientific Initiation (SI) student have been awarded second and first places among all SI projects of UNICAP in the CNPq's Exacts and Earth Sciences major area on 2007 and 2008, respectively. In 2010 he concluded Singularity University's Graduate Studies Program, located at NASA Ames Research Park, California, where he took part in projects regarding exponentially accelerating technologies. He is now a PhD student at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of Campinas State University (UNICAMP). Part of his doctorate research has been developed while visiting the University of Minnesota within cooperation with Prof. Arindam Banerjee. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
