Gustavo Jacob Lourenço holds a Bachelor's and a Teaching degree in Biological Sciences (2002). He completed his Master's in Basic Sciences in 2006 and his Ph.D. in Structural, Cellular, Molecular, and Developmental Biology in 2011 at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), having conducted an exchange program at the University of Cambridge, England. Currently, Gustavo is an Associate Researcher at the Cancer Genetics Laboratory and a Professor in the Postgraduate Programs in Medical Clinic and Oncology at the Faculty of Medical Sciences of UNICAMP. He has experience in identifying and functionally analyzing genetic variants and molecules associated with the onset and development of cancer. In addition, he is an amateur triathlete.
