Graduated in Pharmacy from the Methodist University of Piracicaba - Unimep (2005). Master and PhD from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering at the State University of Campinas - Unicamp (2008 and 2012). For her master's degree she held a sandwich program at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul-UFRGS (2007-2008), and for her doctorate she held a sandwich program at the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University Fernando Pessoa-UFP, in Porto, Portugal (2010- 2011). She is a professor at the Stricto sensu Graduate Program in Industrial Biotechnology (PBI) and a professor at the graduation in pharmacy at Tiradentes University (UNIT) and a researcher at the Institute of Technology and Research (ITP) in which she coordinates the Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine Laboratory (LNMed ). It has bilateral projects with the USA (Harvard), Portugal (University of Coimbra and University of Minho), Theca Republic (Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry), Spain (University of Granada). She has supervised post-docs, doctoral students, master's and undergraduate students, as well as high school students. She is a reviewer for dozens of periodicals. She has extensive experience in the field of medicines, nanobiomaterials and cosmetics using biopolymers. She is a CNPq Research Productivity Productivity Scholarship (PQ-2). She worked at Tiradentes Institute (TI-UMass) working in the internationalization process of UNIT and as a visiting professor at Bringham Women's Hospital / Harvard Medical School, Cambrigde, MA, USA. She is on the list of "Highly Cited Researchers 2020", from the Scopus website, integrating the 2% of researchers in the world. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
