Camila Ferreira Bannwart Castro

She works as a professor at the Centro Universitário Sudoeste Paulista. Currently, she completed a postdoctoral position at the Department of Pathology at the Botucatu Medical School in the Molecular Genetics and Bioinformatics laboratory. She has a post-doctorate in Human Reproduction Immunology from the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics-FMB / Unesp. Doctorate in General and Applied Biology, Unesp- Botucatu- concentration area: Cellular, Structural and Functional Biology, with a sandwich doctorate developed at the Universidad de León, Spain (2009). Master in Tropical and Infectious Diseases, Faculty of Medicine of Botucatu, Unesp (2006). Bachelor's degree in Biological Science with scientific initiation (2004) and technical training (2005) at the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Unesp, Botucatu. She has experience in the area of Immunology, especially in monocytes, intracellular signaling pathways of immune cells such as NF-kappa B, as well as in immunology of pre-eclampsia, infectious and parasitic diseases, such as paracoccidiodomycosis; in addition to immunomodulatory effects of flavonoids such as silymarin and immunogenetics of HLA genes and KIR receptors in patients infected with Zikavirus.
