Celso da Costa Carrer

Graduate at Animal Science from Universidade de São Paulo (1983), Masters in Veterinary from the University of São Paulo (1990), with emphasis on Animal Nutrition, and PhD in Agricultural Engineering from University of Campinas (2000), with an emphasis on Economics And Rural Development. He holds a specialization in Rural Management from Federal University of Lavras (1993). He has practical experience as an entrepreneur and manager of several agribusiness ventures, working mainly in the following topics: agribusiness business management, innovation and entrepreneurship. Currently holds the position of Associate Professor, in the area of #8203;#8203;Entrepreneurship specialization, by the Department of Engineering of Biosystems (ZEB) of the Faculty of Animal Science and Food Engineering (FZEA), University of São Paulo, Pirassununga campus. Coordinates the Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and University Extension (UNICETEX), a didactic laboratory of the ZEB / FZEA / USP and which has been responsible for the assistance of the Pirassununga Pole of the USP Innovation Agency since 2011. It coordinates the Incubator of Innovative Agribusiness Companies in Pirassununga (UNICETec), UNICETEX / FZEA / USP project. He was a member of the National Commission of Teaching of Animal Science (CNEZ) within the Federal Council of Veterinary Medicine (CFMV) in the period 2008/12. State Director of the Brazilian Association of Zootechnists (ABZ) in the State of São Paulo from 2009 to 2018. Coordinator of the Professional Master's Program in Management and Innovation in the Animal Industry of FZEA / USP from 2013 to 2017 and current Alternate Coordinator. Coordinator of the Regional Southeast in the National Forum of Professional Masters (FOPROF) in the management 2014/15. President of the Brazilian Congress of Zootechnics (ZOOTEC 2017). Coordinator of the Group of Studies on Entrepreneurship in Agribusiness (GEMA) of the FZEA / USP since 2018. He is currently developing a postdoctoral program at the Parc Científic of University of Valencia with a theme related to innovation ecosystems, since 2018. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
