Ana Prata is an Assistant Professor of Food Engineering at Unicamp. Prof. Prata received her B.S. in Chemical Engineering at Federal University of São Carlos in 2000, and M.S. and Ph.D. in Food Engineering from Unicamp (2002, 2006). She had a period of sandwich pHD at École de Chimie in Montepellier (2003). She was a postdoctoral fellow at Oniris in France from 2007 to 2008, at Unicamp in 2009 and currently at Dept. of Food. Science and Nutrition (Univ. of Minnesota). She teaches courses on Transport Phenomena and Unit Operations, and as researcher, projects related to colloids and particulate delivery systems applied to food, cosmetics, fertilizers, growth promoting of plants, aquaculture and textiles have been developed since 2003, with focus on utilization of biomaterials and eco- and economically feasible processes.
