Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz (ESALQ)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering from the School of Engineering of Piracicaba (EEP, 2011), a Master's degree (2014) and a PhD (2018) in Sciences, with an emphasis on Soils and Plant Nutrition, from the "Luiz de Queiroz" College of Agriculture at the University of São Paulo (ESALQ-USP). I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at ESALQ-USP. I recently completed a postdoctoral placement at the British Geological Survey (BGS) in the United Kingdom (2023-2024), supported by the BEPE/FAPESP programme. My research interests are centred on the field of soil geochemistry, with a particular focus on environmental and medical geochemistry, heavy metal speciation, and chemical processes in surface environments. I have experience of utilising in vitro methods for the assessment of bioaccessibility, oral and respiratory bioavailability, as well as human health risk assessment. My research specialisation is in classical and non-specific sequential extraction techniques, along with advanced chemometric analyses. My research is centred on soil biogeochemistry, addressing soil pollution and the dynamics of potentially toxic elements, with an emphasis on their impacts on human health. I am currently engaged in international collaborative projects in the fields of medical and environmental geochemistry. I am a member of the International Medical Geology Association (IMGA) and the International Environmental Health Sciences Consortium (IEHSC). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
