Graduated in Nursing from the Federal University of Acre (2011) and holds a direct PhD in Sciences (PPG Biology of the Pathogen-Host Relationship) from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of São Paulo (2018) with an internship at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-CDC, Atlanta/USA (2015) and a sandwich period at the London School of Hygiene Tropical Medicine-LSHTM, London/England (2016 to 2017) - the research internships at the CDC and LSHTM provided experience in molecular biology and genetics techniques, respectively. In 2024, she completed her post-doctorate at ICB/USP with a focus on diagnosis (biomarkers for placental malaria) and treatment (study of resistance to antimalarial drugs). During the post-doc, she did a 1-year research internship at the Faculty of Infectious and Tropical Diseases at LSHTM, London/England (2022 to 2023), in which she gained experience in bioinformatics, Plasmodium genomics and modern genetic sequencing techniques (MinION/Nanopore). She has experience in Parasitology, with an emphasis on gestational malaria, working mainly on the following topics: malaria, gestational malaria, Plasmodium genomics, maternal and child health, information systems. She is interested in the areas of Parasitology, Genetics, Epidemiology and Maternal and Child Health, as well as Clinical Research and Public Health. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
