Born in Itapeva-SP, Brazil (1983). Received his BSc (2006), MSc (2008) and PhD (2010) degrees in Electrical/Computing Engineering at the University of Sao Paulo, Escola Politecnica (Poli-USP), Brazil. He also has a Master degree (2006) in Engineering conferred by the Ecole Centrale Paris, France. He is currently Associate Professor and researcher at the Department of Computer and Digital Systems Engineering of the Escola Politecnica, Universidade de São Paulo. He has been involved in projects related to cyber-security since 2007, covering aspects such as the design and analysis of cryptographic primitives, cryptographic protocols and cibersecurity in general. During this period, he has coordinated many research and development projects financed by the private sector (e.g., Ericsson, LG, HPE, Intel, Ripple, Bradesco) and public institutions (e.g., TSE, CNPq and FAPESP). Those projects focused on a variety of scenarios, such as: e-voting systems, vehicular networks, cloud computing, multimedia data transmission systems, peer-to-peer (P2P) networks, mobile health, secure password storage, banking transactions, blockchain, and Internet of Things. Those resulted in more than a hundred cybersecurity-related publications, including award-winning academic articles, international patents and international standards. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
