Graduated in geography from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (FFP/UERJ) in São Gonçalo (2011) and hold a master's degree (2014) and a doctorate (2018) in Geography from the Graduate Program in Geography at FCT/UNESP, Presidente Prudente. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Geography at Indiana University in Bloomington (USA), funded by the American Association of University Women (AAUW) (20212022). Currently is an Assistant Professor at Indiana University in Bloomington, USA. Member of the Brazilian Association of Geographers, Niterói (2010present) and the Brazilian Association of Climatology (2012present), serving as a full member of the Fiscal Council (2023present). Develops teaching, research, and extension activities at GEOCLIMA, the Group of Studies and Research in Climate Geography (IGEO/UFRJ), and as an associate researcher at COLAPSO, Nature and Society (IGEO/UFBA). Works in Geographic Climatology, Geography of Climate and Critical Physical Geography. Currently, is dedicated to studying the following topics: rainfall genesis, extreme events and episodes, heatwaves, urban heat islands, exposure, vulnerability, climate classification, and urban climatology.
