got BSc (2000) and Master degrees from the Federal University of Pelotas (2003), Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (2007) and the Université Joseph Fourier (France) and postdoctoral fellow at Oak Ridge National Laboratory/USA (2008-2009). He was a researcher of the Brazilian Nanotechnology Laboratory where he lead the Nanomedicine and Nanotoxicology Division. Nowadays, he is a researcher of the Brazilian Synchrotron Laboratory (Sirius) where he is the head of the Soft&Bio Materials Division. It is registered as advisor in the Graduate Program of Chemistry at UNICAMP. He has experience in the field of chemistry working mainly on the following themes: (a) synthesis of nanoparticles with biological activity against tumor cells, antibiotic-resistant bacteria and viruses; (b) sensors production based on nanoparticles and (c) data modeling the scattering of X-rays.
