Bachelor degree in Biomedical Sciences by the Federal University of Sao Paulo (2002). Graduated in Molecular Biology by the Federal University of Sao Paulo (2007), participating also in a graduate exchange program at the Max-Delbrück Institute for Molecular Medicine (Berlin, Germany). Postdoctoral fellow at Joslin Diabetes Center/Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA). Assistant Professor at the Department of Biophysics of the Federal University of Sao Paulo from 2011 to 2016. Currently holds a position of Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Tissue Biology, Institute of Biology, University of Campinas, serving as the head of Department from 2017 through 2021. He was also Research Coordinator of the Institute of Biology in the period of 2018-2020. Expertise in Molecular Biology with emphasis in Metabolism, dedicated mainly in investigating the molecular mechanisms associated with the Metabolic Syndrome and the Aging process.
