BSc in Physics at Universidade de São Paulo (1974), PhD in applied mathematics King's College London (1982) and Livre-Docente at Universidade de São Paulo (1989). Was a pos-doc at CERN (1986) and MIT (2003). Now is a full professor at Instituto de Física, São Paulo University. Belongs to the editorial board of Classical and Quantum Gravity. Has experience in High Energy Physics with emphasis in Quantum Gravity acting mainly in the following subjects: superstrings, AdS/CFT correspondence, noncommutative field theory, BRST quantization and supersymmetry.
