He is an Associate Professor (Livre Docente) at FCFRP/USP, where he teaches analytical chemistry in the Pharmacy course. He is accredited with the Graduate Programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences and in Toxicology at FCFRP. He coordinates a line of research related to the development of bioanalytical methods for determining residues and organic contaminants in food. He has experience in different biological sample preparation techniques and chromatographic separation techniques associated with different detection and hyphenation systems, mainly LC-MS/MS. He performs residual drug depletion studies in food-producing animals. He collaborates in different scientific works (national and international), from the support in the planning, in the development and in the discussion of the results involving analytical chemistry. Member of the Working Group created by Anvisa to revise the Resolution regarding the establishment of Maximum Residue Limits of veterinary drugs in foods of animal origin and of the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives - JECFA (Roster of Experts 2023-2027 ). He is a reviewer for several national and international journals, having issued more than 90 reviews. He participated in more than 110 boards of conclusion works in Graduate Programs.
