He is Associate Professor 2 at FCFRP/USP, where he also guides graduate students through the Pharmaceutical Sciences and Toxicology programs. He coordinates a line of research related to the development of analytical methods and their application in the matter of veterinary drug residues and other organic contaminants in food. He has experience in biological sample preparation techniques and chromatographic separation techniques associated with different detection and hyphenation systems, mainly LC-MS/MS. He performs residual drug depletion studies in food production animals. He participates in scientific collaborations with national (Paracelsus Bioanalytical Laboratory-UNICAMP and Sanidade de Organismos Aquaticos-CAUNESP) and international groups (Queen's University of Belfast). He collaborates in different scientific works from support in planning, development and discussion of results involving analytical chemistry. Member of the Working Group created by Anvisa to review the Resolution regarding the establishment of Maximum Residue Limits of veterinary drugs in foods of animal origin.
