Graduated in Biological Sciences (UENF/1997), Master of Bioscience and Biotechnology (specialization in Genetic Engineering) (UENF/2000), Ph.D. (2006) and post-doc (2009) in Agricultural and Livestock Microbiology (UNESP). Assistant Professor (2011) in "Universidade Estadual Paulista" (São Paulo State University - UNESP - http://www.fcav.unesp.br), member of the Advisory Board of the Graduate Course (2013) in Agricultural and Livestock Microbiology (FCAV / UNESP), which this bound as a professor and mentor. Main areas of focus are Applied Genetics, Molecular Microbial Genetics, and Molecular Microbial Ecology. Is chief of the Laboratory of Applied Genetics in the Department of Biology Applied to Agriculture and Livestock (LGA/FCAV/UNESP), Jaboticabal (São Paulo/Brazil). Leads the MicroBioGenes research group. The MicroBioGenes research group was created in order to aggregate and consolidate human resources involved in the microbiomes studies aiming to characterize their diversity and to prospect biological resources presenting biotechnological potential. Currently involved in projects of ecological appeal and directed to the management of biological resources in the context of bioenergy production (second-generation ethanol), bioremediation, and environmental impact and development on agro-cultivable areas. Integrates the Brazilian Advisory Board (Southeast Region) of the Brazilian Microbiome Project and the BiosBrasil Network research group. Took part in Biological Nitrogen Fixation INCT (National Institute in Science and Technology) and currently integrates the Soil Biodiversity ICNT (Theme: Biotechnology and sustainable use of biodiversity) (2016).
