Sergio Pilling Guapyassu de Oliveira completed his undergraduate studies in Astronomy at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) in 2000, obtained a master's degree in Astronomy from the National Observatory in 2002, and earned a Ph.D. in Physico-Chemistry from UFRJ in February 2006. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the National Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS), PUC-Rio in the Van der Graaff laboratory, and the Ganil-Fr laboratory. He completed his undergraduate degree in Psychology (CRP 06/187789) at the University of Vale do Paraíba (Univap) in 2022, holds several specializations in psychology, and is a certified neurofeedback trainer (brain-trainer). He has published over 90 articles in specialized journals/scientific magazines and has more than 1600 citations (H-index=26). Currently, he works as a professor-researcher at Univap. He served as the coordinator of the master's program in Physics and Astronomy at Univap (2014-2016). His research interests include Experimental Astrophysics or Astrochemical Laboratory, Astrobiology, Experimental Physics, and Physico-Chemistry with emphasis on Molecular Spectroscopy (TOF-MS), Atomic and Molecular Physics, and Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR). He teaches courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervises undergraduate and postgraduate students, and coordinates the Astrochemistry and Astrobiology Laboratory at Univap (LASA), an investment of over one million reais. In addition to research, he has experience in the field of scientific outreach. He was an elected member of the F3 Astrobiology organizing committee (2015-2020) of the International Astronomical Union - IAU. He is a CNPq-1C productivity researcher.
