Associate Professor (Institute of Biomedical Sciences) at the University of Sao Paulo.She holds a master's degree and a doctorate from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences-ICB of the University of Sao Paulo; Post-doctorate from the University of Heidelberg- Germany; works in collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine of USP (Department of Surgery-Anesthesiology) and Butantan Institute, in addition to collaboration with the laboratory of Dr. Linda Watkins from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she did part of her PhD and her sabbatical as a visiting professor (2022). She has experience in the field of neuroanatomy, pharmacology, with emphasis on Pain and Neuroscience, working mainly on the following topics: neuropathic pain and muscle pain, nociception, as well as different mediators of the inflammatory response. Also, it has an experimental line of non-pharmacological treatment to improve various types of pain, through the use of models such as exercise and photobiomodulation. She is currently vice-coordinator of Animal Care from Department of Anatomy-ICB-USP, member of the ethics committee in the use of animals (CEUA) of the ICB-USP.
