Graduada em Psicologia, Licenciatura Plena em Psicologia. Doutora em Ciências, Pós-doutorado em Neurociência. Atuação clinica: diagnostico e (re)abilitação de distúrbios cognitivos. Participou também Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências da Motricidade do Instituto de Biociências - Departamento de Educação Física da Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP/Campus Rio Claro, atuando como orientadora de doutorado até 2017. Atualmente é professora da Licenciatura em Matemática com ênfase em aspectos pedagógicos do ensino e aprendizagem (UFABC) e dos cursos: Bacharelado em Ciências e Humanidades e Bacharelado em Ciências e tecnologia. É Professora Associada do Centro de Matemática, Computação e Cognição da Universidade Federal do ABC. Atualmente dedica-se exclusivamente ao trabalho acadêmico, realizando e orientando pesquisas clínicas e educacionais relacionada a aspectos cognitivos em diferentes grupos: alterações cognitivas no envelhecimento e, aspectos sócios histórico culturais na formação/desenvolvimento de habilidades cognitivas, contribuições do exercício físico para a cognição, biomarcadores no envelhecimento e na Doença de Alzheimer e o impacto de fitoterápicos sobre a cognição de idosos. De 2008 até o atual momento também começou a atuar em neurociência aplicada a educação, sobretudo a educação matemática e aspectos cognitivos e emocionais envolvidos na aprendizagem de matemática.
