Adriana F. Paes Leme received undergraduate degree in Dentistry (DDS) at State University of Campinas in 1999, Master of Science at University of Campinas in 2002 and Ph.D. at University of Campinas in 2005. She worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Butantan Institute and Biomolecular Research Facility, University of Virginia. Currently, she is a Principal Investigator and the Director of Mass Spectrometry Facility at Brazilian Biosciences National Laboratory (LNBio), Center for Research in Energy and Materials (CNPEM), since 2009. Dr. Paes Leme has a background in oral biology, biochemistry, proteomics and mass spectrometry. Her research focuses on the development of mass spectrometry-based proteomics on complex biological systems, primarily to improve the understanding of oral cancer biology at molecular, cellular and organism levels using both discovery and targeted strategies.
