Graduated in Biological Sciences from the University of Brasilia (2007), Master degree in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology) from the University of Brasilia (2010) and PhD in Botany at the University of São Paulo. Has experience in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology with an emphasis in acting on the following topics: sugar cane, second generation ethanol, aerenchyma, cell wall and bioethanol. Is currently a PhD student at the University of São Paulo in the PLant Physiologycal Ecology group, focusing on cell wall degradation in roots of sugarcane during the formation of aerenchyma.
