is associate full professor in the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Art History at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), Campus Guarulhos. She is also accredited in the postgraduate program in Philosophy at Unifesp. She has a senior postdoctoral degree from the School of Communications and Arts at the University of São Paulo (USP) in cinema. She studied Theater Science/Film Seminar and Art History at the University of Vienna (1990), University of Bristol (1991), Humboldt University, Berlin (1992), and Free University of Berlin (1993). He holds a Masters in Theater Science and Art History (1993) and a Ph.D. in Theater Science (1997) from the Free University of Berlin. She was a visiting professor and researcher with a Torch scholarship at Oxford University in 2019; assistant professor in the course of Sound and Image , Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto 2000-2007; guest professor in 2006 at the University of Coimbra, lecturer at the Free University of Berlin in 1999 and from 1995 to 1999 at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover. She has experience as a professor and researcher in the field of Arts, with an emphasis on cinema, theater and contemporary art; and criticism, theory and history of the arts. In the field of applied arts, he acted as a dramaturgist (National Theater of Hannover, National Opera of Stuttgart, theatrical projects with federal and state funding in Portugal and Brazil) and as a theater critic (Folha de São Paulo). She studies the relationship between art and politics through the following themes: decoloniality: theory and history of cinema, theater and art; contemporary cinema, art and dramaturgy; interart dialogues and literary adaptations; Portuguese-language films, their national and transnational identities, and their colonial and post-colonial relations.
