Abstract

In this dissertation, I aim to develop even further the studies initiated in my early studies, presented as a monography. Thus, I propose to analyse, in light of the discursive and humoristic theories, the satirical news (also known as "fake news") published by the The Piauí Herald blog. Satirical news is a recent developed discursive genre, published in sites and blogs, which mimics the factual news, depicting real events without pretension of being actually factual. Therefore, this genre is a parody of the journalistic discursive field (and of the factual news discursive genre), as well as of the political discourse about the events they depict. I assume that humor, as a discursive field, depicts and mobilizes the reality in a particular manner; ergo, to study this representation, the selection of the research's corpus will be based in a thematic and temporal criteria: on one hand, I selected texts published during Dilma Rousseff's Impeachment process: thereby, I selected the texts published during the acceptance of the process in the House of Representatives, in December of 2015, to its final vote, at the Federal Senate, in August of 2016; on the other hand, I selected texts accordingly to their political bias, highlighting the parodical representation of the antipetista discourse. My objective, consequently, was to further develop the comprehension about the interdiscursive relation established by the satirical news' parodist discourse with the parodied elements, such as the journalistic discourse and field (through the news' discursive genre) and the political discourse and field (through the antipetista discourse, great motivator for Dilma Rousseff's impeachment process). This objective is organized in three different orientations: (a) comprehend to which extent the parodist discourse can be conceived in a discursive orientation, especially regarding it's similarities with the concept of simulacrum; (b) comprehend how the satirical news establish for themselves the journalistic field and discourse, in its principles but also in the structure of the parodied genre; (c) lastly, following the traces left by the unusual representations of the alluded événements, comprehend how the The Piauí Herald's satirical news represents the antipetista discourse which circulated throughout (and after) the impeachment process. To this end, this dissertation is divided in three orientations: to draft an discursive approach of the parody, mainly through the global semantics' theory; to approach in comparison the enunciative scene of both satirical and factual news, in order to establish the parodical construction; and finally, analyze the reemployment of the antipetista discourse by the parodical reenacting in such a way that it also produces a satire of said discourse (AU)
