I walnt to be the sun!: (re)interpretations of intersections betwenn racial and gender relations in peer cultures betwetn children o-3-yers in creche

This work aims to contribute to the studies related to the production of peer cultures, exploring the aspects related to the (re)interpretations of the intersections between the process of racialization, the relations of class, and the relations of gender produced by both black and white tiny young children, from 0 to 3 years old, of a children¿s collective at a public daycare center. It is about an ethnography that was carried out in the metropolitan region of Campinas-SP making use of a field notebook as record device and interviews with the educators of the center. The children herein will be taken as active social authors and culture builders, and the daycare center will be regarded as a children¿s collective, which fosters the construction of relations between the boys and the girls of little age, considering that in our western society early childhood is very often taken as an experience within the private ambit only. The concept of intersection aims to emphasize how the historically contingent and specific relations to a determined conjuncture build lifestyles and legitimize hierarchical processes through their imbrications of social markers of race, gender, social class, and age difference. The research that here unfolds brings, in the key of this discussion, the importance of also thinking this process in regard to the tiny young children, aspect still little addressed in researches of this nature. Based on the analyzes, it can pointed out that my ethnography was marked by the social reading of my own body that possesses white phenotypic traits, which were in many moments read by the children from the images racially propagated by the whiteness, that take as base the color of the skin in order to establish hierarchical principles, defined from sociopolitical demands and power disputes that reinforce social privileges. Also identified in the research were the transgressions, resistances from the tiny young children, black and white, which stress the hierarchies in question, based on the patriarchal and racist order, creating other modes of relation with both the world and the other subjects through their games and built relations from their protagonism as subjects (AU)
