Abstract

The purpose of this project is to assess the degree of conversion (DC%) of commercial composite resins and experimental resin developed by the Crystal Growth Group of the Institute of Physics of São Carlos-USP varying light sources (LED and Laser Argon), within 24 hours after polymerization. Five bodies-of-proof will be made by the group with the resins: FiltekTM Z250 (3M ESPE, control), FiltekTM Z350 (3M ESPE), Evolu-X (Dentsplay) FiltekTM P90 (3M ESPE) and experimental resin with nano particles zirconium dioxide using metal matrix (4 mm in diameter and 2 mm thick - ISO 4049). Will be used for curing the device LED D2000® (DMC)for 40s and a device with laser technology that used for curing composite resins presented as the active medium argon gas, then calling itself the argon laser with a wavelength between 450-500nm by 10s of exposure. For the GC (%), samples are crushed, pressed with KBr and analyzed by spectrophotometer Nexus - 470, equipped with TGS detector (4000-300 cm-1) using diffuse reflectance accessory (32 scans, resolution 4 cm- 1) attached to the computer. Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Tukey test will be used for the GC (%) with p> 0.05.
