Abstract

Analyze the atmospheric mechanisms is one of the basis of the climatological science, because only through these, researchers will be able to realize the regional diagnoses, climate prognoses, assessing the possible impact of climate changing and develop projects to mitigate them. Following this logic, the project presented here aims to study the climate interferences on the water quality. For this task will be used the technique of rhythmic analysis of Monteiro, being researched the year of 2009 in the study area which is the Alto da Bacia do Tietê. Besides the search of daily data of this year, will be created graphics of rhythmic analysis and graphs of climate events that will allow us to develop figures, tables, graphs and charts, which will give us the possibility to analyze the atmospherical features and observe the possible regional trends of future climate change. We shall show, during the analysis, that the reservoirs of Billings and Guarapiranga located within the study area, goes through changes in water quality caused by changes in the atmospherical dynamics and regional circulation because of the action of tropical air masses, and the polar and equatorial frontal passages, the latter are capable of generating increased frequency cyanobacterias, mainly of the genus Microcystis sp, in the urban lakes and reservoirs mentioned. Therefore, the end of analysis, the project seeks to when already identified the types of active time, reveal the reactions that cause the water quality of these dams. (AU)
